9- 3/27/23 Book of Mormon

 9- Hello Family,


Miles it was so great to be able to talk with you today. We are so excited you are meeting so many new friends! I asked Elder Miller today how they are contacting all of these people. He said they have been handing our so many Books of Mormon (that was for mama), and that this is the best way to peak peoples interest in their message. I believe that to be very true!  I have been studying this week that very thing as I’m continuing to read The Millenial Messiah by Elder McConkie. 

Speaking of the Book of Mormon Elder McConkie stated “This book is the way and the means, prepared by the Lord, to preach his gospel in all the world for a witness unto all people.”

Speaking of the last days, Nephi prophesied of the key role the Book of Mormon will have in the gather of Israel.
2Nephi26:14-16
14 But behold, I prophesy unto you concerning the last days; concerning the days when the Lord God shall bring these things forth unto the children of men.
15 After my seed and the seed of my brethren shall have dwindled in unbelief … and after they shall have been brought down low in the dust, even that they are not, yet the words of the righteous shall be written, and the prayers of the faithful shall be heard, and all those who have dwindled in unbelief shall not be forgotten.
16 For those who shall be destroyed shall speak unto them out of the ground, and their speech shall be low out of the dust, and their voice shall be as one that hath a familiar spirit; for the Lord God will give unto him power, that he may whisper concerning them, even as it were out of the ground; and their speech shall whisper out of the dust.

As we have opportunities to share the Book of Mormon, those who receive it “eyes to see, and ears to hear” will hear and feel the Holy Ghost testifying to them of the truthfulness of this book. It will carry a “familiar spirit”, and ring true in their hearts. 

Here is the invitation - Let us follow Miles example and look for and pray for opportunities to share the Book of Mormon.

 Elder McConkie - “Let every man and woman who loves truth and cherishes goodness ponder in their heart the great query: What think ye of the Book of Mormon? And further: Whence came it? Is it of God or of man? And if it be of God, what is my responsibility with reference to it?

  We can’t wait to all be together this weekend. Mama and I were talking last night about when the next time we might all be together at home again after this weekend and she mentioned it might not be until April Conference time next year. 99- 12-30-24

 Hello Family, Happy New Year! It is New Year’s Eve, and we are gathered all together in Ogden, Utah. What a treat to be all together! As Lainey would say, “I love you guys!” This weekend I have watched each of you set time aside to plan and to make New Year’s Resolutions, pondering on things that you would like to add or improve in your life. I love that! A life without purpose is a life of complacency. Goals put us in a place to act, and to do. You each know who you are and what your purpose is, and this brings so much joy to Mama and I. This purpose is innate in each one of us, and as we listen to, and follow the Spirit we will continue to strive to become better. The Hope we have that we can be successful at this improvement comes from our faith in Jesus Christ.  45 (12-4-2023) I Need Thee Every Hour Dear Family, This scripture has stayed with me over the past couple of weeks, and has helped me several times. The message has gained greater meaning for me as I try to apply it. I thought this week I would share a few examples of its application in my own life,    and invite you to consider ways to apply it in yours. 2 Nephi 9:39    Remember, to be carnally-minded is death, and to be spiritually-minded is life eternal.
