General Conference

It was wonderful and inspiring  to have another General Conference. Mama and I feel so grateful that all of you make this time a priority in your lives.  What a blessing it is to each of us. Can you imagine navigating life without this regular counsel from prophets, seers, and revelators. I know that I can’t. Conference emphasizes the importance and role of prophets, giving us the opportunity to hear the mind and will of God regularly.

  • Think about how this guidance has directed your life personally. I know for me without this regular guidance and warning, I would be much less inclined to “think spiritually”. My understanding of the temple, and my associated covenants would be less forefront in my mind. I would feel further away from my Heavenly Father, therefore making my prayers less earnest. I feel like the basic Doctrine of Christ would be less emphasized in my life and lives of those I love.

“We thank Thee O God for a prophet….. “ can’t be sung loud enough! I am so very very grateful for living prophets, and for Jesus Christ setting up “General Conference” in His church.

Invitation 1: President Nelson gave each of us an invitation. That we read over and over again the messages of this past weekend during the next six months. That we apply these teachings into our lives, and draw upon them for added strength.

Invitation 2: There is clearly more that we need to understand and apply in our lives when it comes to temple covenants. So let us follow the prophet and commit to being in the temple as often and as regularly as we can. In our personal study let us prayerfully seek greater understanding of the power associated with these covenants and look for this power being expressed in our lives.

I love you all so much and look forward to seeing most of you this Friday. Keep up the great work out there Elder Miller. We love you and are so proud of you!
