Hello Family, It is the last day of March! Where in the world is time going? We are super excited to have most of you home this weekend for conference. Sadie and Seth, we will miss you, but are counting down the days when we get to see you all the time! Yesterday I helped team teach our 5th Sunday in Relief Society. I decided in my portion to talk about President Nelsons last conference address “The Lord Jesus Christ Will Come Again”. This talk makes a STRONG connection between our relationship with Jesus Christ and the need for temple worship in our lives. Below is some of his talk I’ve broken out or moved around for my lesson.  My invitation to all of you this week is before conference, re-read or listen to again this talk from our prophet.    I have learned that the most crucial question we each must answer is this: To whom or to what will I give my life? My decision to follow Jesus Christ is the most important decision I have ever made.  That choice has ma...

This week our Elders Quorum lesson focused on the talk given by Elder Anderson from     this past conference, The Triumph of Hope. You will remember that it was while this talk was being given that Noah learned of the passing of his friend and previous college roommate. I love this scripture and words of Moroni near the end of the Book of Mormon. “What is it that ye shall hope for? … Ye shall have hope through the atonement of Christ and the power of his resurrection, to be raised unto life eternal.” Elder Anderson taught that “the gift of hope is a priceless endowm...

Happy Spring Break to those that get one :) Avery is super excited to come and spend time with her older siblings (and brother-in-laws) who she looks up to so much. Thanks for having her and making this week special for her.   Last week, durning our Come Follow Me,    Avery shared some thoughts from Elder Bednar’s talk given in 2018 “Meek and Lowly of Heart”.    I wrote down in my scriptures the following quote she shared from Elder Bednar that has helped shed new light on the Christlike attribute of meekness.    Elder Bednar: “Meekness is a defining attribute of the Redeemer and is distinguished by righteous responsiveness, willing submissiveness, and strong self-restraint.”   Consider those three distinguishing features. How can we apply them in our lives? I have always thought of meekness as this “willing submissiveness”, but it has taken on new meaning for me as I consider coupling it with righteous self-restraint.    Here is a promi...
